வழிநடத்தும் ஒளி

கர்த்தராகிய தேவரீர் என் விளக்காயிருக்கிறீர், கர்த்தர் என் இருளை வெளிச்சமாக்குகிறவர்.  2சாமுவேல் 22:29

இலங்கையின் யுத்தகாலத்தில் மின்சார வசதி இல்லாத இடங்களில் விளக்குகளைத் தான் இரவில் பற்றவைப்பார்கள். பின்பு மண்ணெண்ணெய் தட்டுப்பாடு ஏற்பட்டபோது, ஜாம் போத்தல்களில் சிறிதளவு எண்ணெய் விட்டு விளக்குளைச் செய்து உபயோகித்தனர். அது சிறிய வெளிச்சமாக இருந்தாலும் அந்தக் கும்மிருட்டில் அதுவே அவர்களுக்கு ஒளிகொடுத்தது மாத்திரமல்ல, சிறிதளவு எண்ணெயில் இரவு முழுவதும் அந்த விளக்கு தொடர்ந்து எரிந்தது என்பதுதான் மெச்சப்படவேண்டிய விடயம்.

ஒளியின் அருமை இருட்டில்தான் தெரியும். வெளிச்சம் இருக்கும்போது நாம் இருளைக் குறித்து எண்ணுவதேயில்லை. ஆனால் இருள் சூழும்போது ஒரு சிறிய வெளிச்சமாவது கிடைக்காதா என்று ஏங்குவோம். இங்கே யுத்தத்தை வெற்றிகொண்டுவந்த தாவீது கர்த்தரைப் போற்றிப் பாடும்போது, ‘கர்த்தராகிய தேவரீர் என் விளக்காய் இருக்கிறீர், என் இருளை வெளிச்சமாக்குகிறவரும் நீரே” என பாடுகிறார். தாவீது அவ்வளவுக்கு ஆண்டவரின் வழிநடத்துதலைத் தன் வாழ்வில் உணர்ந்திருக்கிறார். இப்பாடல் வெறுமனே அவரது வாயின் வார்த்தைகளாய் உருவாகாமல் அவரது வாழ்வின் அனுபவமாய் வெளியாகியிருப்பதைக் காணக்கூடியதாயுள்ளது.

எமது வாழ்வின் பாவஇருளை நீங்குகிறவரும், துன்பஇருளை அகற்றுகிறவரும், இருள் சூழ்ந்திருந்தால் அதை அகற்றிப் போடுகிறவருமாய் நமது ஆண்டவர் இருக்கிறார். அவரை ஒளிதரும் விளக்காய் நாம் அனுபவித்திருக்கிறோமா? நமது வாழ்வின் இருளான பக்கங்களைப் பிரகாசிக்கப்பண்ணுகிறவர் அவர் ஒருவரே. ஒளியிருக்கும் இடத்தில் இருளுக்கு இடமேயில்லை. இருள் இருக்கும் இடத்தில் ஒரு சிறு ஒளி வந்தால் போதும், அந்த இருள் முற்றாகவே மறைந்துவிடும்.

இந்த லெந்து நாட்களில் நாம் தேவனுடைய பாதத்தில் அமர்ந்திருந்து, இருண்டு கிடக்கும் எமது வாழ்வுகளை சீர்தூக்கிப்பார்ப்போம். தேவனுடைய ஒளி எமது வாழ்வுகளில் பிரகாசிக்க இடங்கொடுப்போம். தேவஒளி இல்லாமல் போலியான இவ்வுலக ஒளியை நம்பி அதனால் எல்லா இடங்களிலும் நாம் ஒளிவீசுகிறவர்கள்போல இருந்தாலும், நமது இருதயம் இருளில் மூழ்கிக்கிடந்தால், ஏற்றிவைக்கும் ஒளியினால் பயனென்ன? நம்மைப் பிரகாசிக்கச் செய்கின்ற ஆண்டவரின் பாதத்தில் முதலாவது மண்டியிடுவோம். அவரது ஒளி நம்மில் பிரகாசிக்கட்டும். ‘உலகத்திலே வந்து எந்த மனுஷனையும் பிரகாசிப்பிக்கிற ஒளியே அந்த மெய்யான ஒளி.” யோவான் 1:9

? இன்றைய சிந்தனைக்கு:

‘விண்ணொளியே நள்ளிருட்டில் என்னை நடத்துமே; ஓர் அடிதான் உம்மிடம் நான் கேட்பேன் தூரக்காட்சி காட்டும் என்று சொல்லேன்” இந்தப் பாடல் வரிகளை நமதாக்குவோமாக!
