தேவனுடைய செய்தி:

தேவன் தெரிந்துகொண்ட நபராக, ஒரு ராஜாவாக இருந்தாலும், அவன் கர்த்தரை விட்டுவிட்டால், அவனது முடிவு பரிதாபமே.

தியானம்:

இஸ்ரவேலரோடு யுத்தம் செய்த பெலிஸ்தியர்கள் அநேகரை வெட்டி கொன்றுபோட்டார்கள். சவுலுக்கு விரோதமாய் யுத்தம் பலத்தது. சவுல்  ஒரு பட்டயத்தை நட்டு அதின்மேல் விழுந்து செத்துப்போனான். அதைக் கண்ட அவனது ஆயுததாரியும் அப்படியே செய்தான்.

விசுவாசிக்க வேண்டிய சத்தியம்:

சுய பெலத்தினால் நாம் யுத்தத்தில் ஜெயம்பெற முடியாது.

பிரயோகப்படுத்தல் :

யுத்தம் நடந்த அன்றையதினம் சவுலும், அவன் மூன்று குமாரரும், அவன் ஆயுததாரியும், அவனுடைய எல்லா மனுஷரும் ஒருமிக்கச் செத்துப் போனதற்கு காரணம் என்ன?

வில்வீரரால் மிகவும் காயப்பட்ட சவுல் எதற்குப் பயப்படான்? மரணத்தைக் குறித்த எமது மனப்பான்மை என்ன?
